If you read design or lifestyle blogs, you may have noticed that books, images, and quotes by Georgia O’Keefe seem to be showing up a lot these days.

Perhaps it is because O’Keefe seems a tailor-made poster girl for the trends of our time. She created stunning, minimalistic paintings before minimalism was a design trend. She was one of the desert’s most famous pilgrims, before succulents invaded our apartments. She was the subject of racy and bold photos creating a brand for herself in a time before Instagram. And she was a strong woman long before “Strong Female Lead” became a movie category.
